"Free WebXact trial for tradies" was the offer by our lovely promo girls on the Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) stand at the Building and Home Improvement Expo 2011, and boy, was there a lot of interest!

The fantastic crew from MBAV was generous enough to offer us a space on their stand for the 3 day event – the biggest of its kind in Australia.

WebXact is the exciting new cloud based (runs over the internet) estimating and jobs management software system for builders and tradies, developed in conjunction with MBAV and builders.

WebXact is simple and clear to use and you will be up and running in no time at all.

Today most of us still purchase a copy of the software licence and install it either on our notebook/PC or on a server. You pay for updates and support and if you lose, damage or have your computer stolen the task of recovering is a challenge.

With WebXact the application and your data is securely stored and managed at a Microsoft redundant data centre and you access it through your internet browser using a unique user name and password from any internet enabled computer. You only pay a yearly subscription fee which makes sure you always have the latest version running and in the event that your computer is damaged, lost or stolen you simply find another machine and log on - business as usual!

Some of the exciting integrated features include a "quick estimate" feature which provides several templates allowing builders to pull together the essential components and get a quote across to their clients quickly. One innovation being released in August is a "greenhouse estimator" which allows you to compare energy consumption and water usage across all major brands of appliances. WebXact also provides direct links to relevant, contracts and OH&S documents through the MBAV website and has a built in reminder to SMS or email you or contractors on action items.

WebXact was well received by all who stopped by to hear about the product, and see it live in action – and our girls made sure everyone walked away with a free tradies pencil.

LogicalTech WebXact is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement between WebXact Pty Ltd and Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) that took place at their headquarters in Melbourne on June 30th.

This agreement forms the basis for a long term partnership between the two companies and provides MBAV with the rights to licence WebXact Estimating Courseware for use in their popular Builder Registration Course. The agreement also provides MBAV with an exclusive agreement to retail the WebXact subscription licence to both members and non members. The relationship commenced two years ago with the initial release of WebXact courseware for BRC in August 2010.
