Transol - BizTalk Integration Project |
Project Overview
The Assignment Digital images are captured at sites around the world. Operators in key locations process and transfer the data to the various regulatory divisions within their respective areas (courts, police, sheriffs). Due to the sensitive nature of evidence, the company needed a system to ensure that data is fully secured at all times and that its processing systems are 100% effective in the appropriate delivery of information Because the equipment is used in a large number of districts, (all with their own requirements), the company also wanted flexible system capable of being extended but which could still be well maintained.
The LogicalTech Approach Upon the initial overview of the system, it was immediately apparent that key concerns of flexibility, security and robustness must be addressed with the highest quality. Using Oracle, Biztalk and .Net, LogicalTech implemented a solution in six months that met the client requirements and aggressive schedule. Oracle provided the client with the required robustness, while Biztalk allowed new customers to be integrated into the system quickly and with a high level of code reuse. The project included systems integration with several key government organisations such as the police, courts and Department of Motor vehicles (DMV). This integration was very challenging because it involved many entities with their own legal and DMV systems. Despite this, LogicalTech successfully completed the project within the agreed time.
The Value of the Solution The system design enabled Transol’s own staff to quickly add and integrate new clients without specialist assistance. As a result Transol now processes the captured infringements at two sites (Melbourne, Australia & Phoenix, USA), with system management performed from Los Angeles, USA. The highly distributed nature of the system enabled cost effective use of resources, while maintaining a 24-hour service to the clients. The high level of integration with external vendors (courts, police and Department of Motor Vehicles) enabled seamless, error free processing. This translated into a considerably higher ROI than the previous, manually intensive systems. |
